Snipwell is made and licensed by BookProofs, LLC, a New York limited liability company ("we", "us"). By installing or using Snipwell you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall it.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Snipwell on any computers you use. A purchased license is yours for good and includes all future updates. You may not share, resell, or publish your license key, or remove or work around the trial and license checks.
Trial and purchase
Snipwell is free for 60 days. After that, expansion pauses until you buy a license; viewing, editing, import and export keep working and nothing is deleted. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record and whose terms apply to the transaction, including payment, taxes and receipts. If Snipwell is not right for you, email info@snipwell.fyi within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. We may revoke a license obtained by fraud or reversed through a chargeback.
Your snippets
Your snippets stay on your device and belong to you. We never receive them, so we cannot recover them if they are lost, for example when the browser, its profile, or its data is removed. Export your snippets regularly and keep the file somewhere safe. You are responsible for what your snippets contain and where you expand them.
Other websites
Snipwell inserts text into fields on websites that we do not control. Sites change without notice, and expansion may not work, or may not work correctly, on some of them. Check expanded text before you send or submit it.
No warranty
SNIPWELL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PARTICULAR WEBSITE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOOKPROOFS, LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS OR LOST BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE SNIPWELL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR SNIPWELL.
Your consumer rights
Some places do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or liability to be limited. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the consumer law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date. Continuing to use Snipwell after a change means you accept the new terms.
