Opening the Snipwell panel

Click the Snipwell icon in Chrome's toolbar. If you don't see it, click the puzzle-piece icon and pin Snipwell so it stays visible. You can also use the keyboard shortcut if one is set: Alt+Shift+S by default, Option+Shift+S on Mac. Change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

Activating your license

  1. Open the Snipwell panel and click Enter license at the bottom.
  2. Paste the license key from your purchase email and click Activate.

Activation needs an internet connection once. After that the license is checked on your computer and nothing is sent anywhere.

Can't find your license key

It is in the purchase email from Lemon Squeezy, which handles Snipwell's checkout; search your inbox and spam folder for "Snipwell". You can also look it up at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders with the email address you bought with. Still stuck? Email us from that address.

New computer, reinstall, or another Chrome profile

Use the same key. There is no limit on reinstalls or on the computers you use yourself. If Chrome sync is on, another profile signed in to the same Google account picks up the license on its own.

Your snippets stay on the computer they were made on. To move them, export them (Dashboard or Settings, Export) and import the file on the other computer.

Before you uninstall, export your snippets. Chrome deletes an extension's stored data when it is removed.

Privacy

Your snippets never leave your computer. There is no account and no analytics. The only request to a server of Snipwell's own is the one-time license activation. Read the privacy policy.
